Error Codes

Code Error Name Troubleshooting
DF Defrost Currently in defrost mode. Will return to normal operations when defrost is finished.
FF Outdoor Low Temperature Indication The current temperature outside is too low for proper unit functionality.
F1 Communication Fault
  • The communication wire is broken off. Please check the state of the wire.
  • Please check whether the electrical control board is damaged. It should be replaced if damaged.
  • Please check whether the power ground wire is reliable.
  • Please check for outside interference. If found, remove the outside interference.
F2 Indoor Temperature Sensor Fault
  • Check whether the resistance of the sensor is normal. If it is abnormal the sensor should be replaced.
  • Check whether there is a short circuit or open circuit in the wire of the sensor, and whether the plug is connected correctly.
  • After checking for the above conditions and finding nothing, check the electric control board.
F3 Coil Temp. Sensor Fault
F4 Indoor Motor Fault
  • Check whether the contact of the plug of the motor wire and socket is in good condition. Make sure it is well contacted.
  • Check whether the indoor motor is damaged. If it is damaged, replace it.
  • Check whether the controllable silicon and other components of the electric control board are are damaged. Please replace board if that is the case.
  • Check whether the indoor motor is being obstructed when running.
F5 IPM Protection
  • Check whether the supply voltage is over the acceptable range.
F6 Outdoor Sensor Fault
  • Check whether the resistance of the sensor is normal, otherwise replace it.
  • Check whether there is a short circuit or open circuit in the wire of the sensor, and whether the plug is connected correctly.
  • After checking for the above conditions and finding nothing, check the electric control board.
E7 Outdoor Feedback Fault
  • Check whether the winding resistance and operation current of the compressor are normal.
  • Check whether the high and low pressure is normal when the unit is running.
  • Check whether the indoor and outdoor wiring is right; when it is wrong, refer to the wiring diagram.
  • Check whether the contact of the inserter on the circuit board and the connection is well. Repair if otherwise.
  • Check whether the signal feedback wire is disconnected. Replace or reconnect the feedback signal wire.
  • Check whether the supply power is phase-lacking or phase opposition.
  • Check whether the AC electromagnetic contractor is well.
E8 Frost/Overheat Protection
  • Check whether the filter of the indoor unit is dirty or blocked. Clean if it is dirty.
  • Check whether the indoor fan is running normally, and replace the motor if it is abnormal.
  • Check whether indoor pipe temperature sensor is normal, and replace the sensor if it is abnormal.
  • Check whether the system pressure is normal, if abnormal, you should check whether there is leakage and fill the refrigerant if need be.
