**Warranty Law Jurisdiction States warranty is applicable to units installed in states where warranty cannot be conditioned on registration as prohibited by law. Registration is not required to receive warranty benefits. Registration does not extend warranty benefit years. Installation invoice documentation is required to redeem warranty benefits. Applicable for installations & purchases July 1, 2024 onward for Florida Residents.*** Any other customers within states with existing express and implied warranty laws need to follow local law guidelines.
All Factory Warranties will be voided if:
a- The product is not properly installed and operated.
b- Defects due to the effects of corrosion.
c- The units are exposed to sea salt and are installed at a distance less than 300 meters/1,000ft from the seashore.
d- Preventive maintenance is not performed at least 2 times a year.
e- Damages caused due to the use of parts other than the original factory authorized parts.
f- Damages caused due to alterations, modifications or any kind of changes to the original design or functioning.
g- Damages caused by vandalism, floods, fire, acts of God, and all other events out of Air-Con International, Inc’s control.
h- Damages caused due to improper use and abuse, even if it is accidental or intentional, incorrect maintenance, continuous use of the equipment even when partial malfunctioning, the use of contaminated water, incorrect voltage or electric frequency.
i- Damages caused by the incorrect and improper comprehension of instructions provided by Air-Con International’s manuals. In particular in reference to the specifications, applications, installations, use, maintenance of the products and equipment.
j- Damages due to failure to comply with codes, standards, ordinances and specifications of the governmental and industry institutions.
k- Damages caused by electrical outages or power surges.
l- Damages caused by storms including lightning strikes, hurricanes, tornados, hail storms, etc.
FACTORY WARRANTY DISCLAIMER:
The factory warranty only includes the replacement of the parts and the compressor unless Air-Con International, Inc. determines otherwise. Air-Con International, Inc. is not responsible for any shipping and handling charges of warranty claim parts or compressors. WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER WHOLE UNIT REPLACEMENT. Equipment installation must be performed by a CERTIFIED AIR CONDITIONING TECHNICIAN. Failure to comply will automatically void any warranty on the equipment or product. Air-Con International, Inc. is not responsible for any personal injury or any other damages caused or related to the incorrect installation of the equipment or the installation by a non-certified technician. The new Florida law clearly states that a certified HVAC technician needs to complete the installation in order for any warranty to be valid.
Any remote controls included with our units have a 30 day warranty from the date of the invoice. In the case of the front, top and lateral panels, any screws, the factory warranty only applies for 1 year. In the case of a coil leak the factory warranty is only 30 days after installation or 45 days from the seller invoice date. We will not replace any part or compressor unless it has been reviewed by Air-Con, International, Inc. If Air-Con International, Inc determines that the parts or the compressor is factory defective, we will send the part free of charge. The compressor replaced will carry a warranty for the remainder of the original warranty period.
DOCUMENT(S) REQUIRED TO REDEEM WARRANTY:
In order to honor a factory warranty, the end-user OR technician must present the original invoice from the seller OR installation invoice. The original invoice must include the model number, the serial number and the date of installation. PROPER TROUBLESHOOTING AND DIAGNOSIS OF THE UNIT ISSUE WILL STILL NEED TO BE COMPLETED BY A CERTIFIED HVAC TECHNICIAN IN ORDER TO PROCEED WITH THE WARRANTY CLAIM. Air-Con International WILL NOT send parts or compressors unless proper communication and documentation is shared between a certified HVAC technician working on the case and the Air-Con International Tech Support team.
For Standard Warranty with registration, registration proof is required to receive the additional years of warranty.
Unit Ownership Warranty Transfer:
Under the Factory Warranty & Standard Warranty with Registration, the warranty policy is non-transferrable.
For Warranty Law Jurisdiction States, the unit warranty is attached to the property and not the customer. The warranty is automatically transferred to the next owner as it is attached to the property. The warranty period begins at the time of initial installation. TRANSFER OF WARRANTY DOES NOT EXTEND THE WARRANTY PERIOD. For example, if a property is sold in year 3 of the unit’s warranty, the new owner will have 2 years left of the total warranty period. Please follow local laws for guidance.
PRODUCT INSPECTION:
Do not sign for a shipped unit until you have thoroughly inspected the products for any damage. Any and all dents should be noted on the delivery receipt. Damaged products should not be accepted. You will receive a new product if you reject a damaged shipment. By signing the delivery receipt, you accept the shipment is in good condition and free from damage. Shipper is not responsible for shipments that are not signed for as damaged upon arrival.
No returns will be accepted for transportation damages to the equipment like dents and broken parts, if Air-Con International, Inc is not notified within 7 days of receiving the equipment.
No returns will be accepted for start-up failures unless claimed by the installing technician to Air-Con International, Inc within 30 days from receiving the equipment.
FACTORY WARRANTY SUPPORT:
The manufacturer is only responsible for providing FACTORY WARRANTY. The manufacturer will only communicate with the installing technician or a service technician to determine if the product has a factory defect. The seller is fully responsible for the sale and any end-user claims should be done to the seller.
ELECTRICAL PARTS:
Any electrical parts given to an end user or technician as part of a claim is not subject to warranty. Electrical parts purchased are not returnable and have NO warranty.
PRODUCT RETURNS:
All product returns are subject to a restocking fee of 20% within the first 15 days. Any returns after 15 days of the invoice date will not be refunded. In the event of a product return all products must return in their original packaging, unopened. When returning a product do not modify any of the original pieces. This includes breaking any plastic, removing copper or otherwise returning the product different from when you received it.
WARRANTY ON PRODUCTS FOR COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS:
In addendum to the above, units being used for commercial applications are waived from registration. At the same time, units used in commercial applications automatically default to the base factory warranty of 1 year parts and 5 years compressor.

***Florida HVAC Registration Law July 1, 2024: Following the passage of Florida House Bill CS/HB 481 Building Construction Regulations and System Warranties, CS/HB 1203 and Florida Senate Bill SB 1242 Registrations and Transfers of Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning System Manufacturer Warranties and signed into law May 29th, 2024, residents of the State of Florida are no longer required to register their HVAC products to receive the full manufacturer warranties provided the HVAC is installed by a Florida licensed HVAC contractor. The law is effective for all HVAC products installed on or after July 1st, 2024. Air-Con’s current 90 day registration period enables products installed on or after April 1st, 2024 to be grandfathered into the new law. Important note: the new law affects registration and unit ownership transfer but does NOT dictate Air-Con International’s warranty policy.
